          		<title><![CDATA[Governor McDonnell Announces New Transportation Funding to Bring Significant Improvements to I-264 and I-64 in Hampton Roads Region]]></title>
				          		
			
			
 	 <description><![CDATA[<strong> May 15 &mdash;</strong>  Governor Bob McDonnell announced today that the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has advertised a $120 million project to rehabilitate 163 lane miles of I-264 and I-64 in the Hampton Roads region. Contracts are scheduled to be awarded by the end of the year, with construction beginning early next year.           		<title><![CDATA[Governor McDonnell Announces World-Class Transportation Operations System Will Help Ease Congestion on Virginia's Highways]]></title>
				          		
			
			
 	 <description><![CDATA[<strong> May 7 &mdash;</strong>  Governor McDonnell announced today that the Commonwealth collaborated with the best and brightest minds in the public and private sectors to utilize innovative technology to move traffic with greater ease throughout the state. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) issued a Notice of Intent to Award to Serco, Inc. to operate the state's five transportation operations centers and manage the Safety Service Patrol. The contract is up for consideration by the Commonwealth Transportation Board, which will make a decision on whether to award the finalist during its meeting in June.  	 <description><![CDATA[<strong> April 16 &mdash;</strong>  Governor Bob McDonnell today announced the expansion of CBN Secure Technologies, Inc. in Danville, Virginia to meet increased demand for its identification solutions. The expansion will result in approximately 25 new jobs. In 2009, CBN Secure Technologies, Inc. launched its United States presence in Virginia with plans to use the Danville operation to serve other customers in the U.S. and other countries.
