The Commonwealth of Virginia built MARS Pad 0A to accommodate the Antares 230+ rocket configuration and Cygnus spacecraft.
Governor Northam Announces Expanded Partnership to Offer REAL IDs to Returning Citizens
Governor Ralph Northam today announced that the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Virginia Department of Corrections (DOC) will partner to offer REAL ID-compliant identification cards to returning citizens at all DOC facilities in the Commonwealth. DMV Connect mobile operations teams that serve Virginia’s prison populations began providing the expanded services yesterday, October 1, 2019, which marks one year until the federal law goes into effect requiring a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or ID, or another approved form of identification such as a passport, for domestic travel or access to secure federal facilities.

Governor Ralph Northam today welcomed small business owners at a networking event hosted by Hampton Roads Connector Partners (HRCP), the prime contractor for the Hampton Roads-Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) Expansion project. Governor Ralph Northam today announced that the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is preparing to send letters to Virginians whose driving privileges are suspended for failure to pay court fines and costs to advise them of any specific requirements for obtaining their driver’s licenses. Governor Northam’s budget includes a provision that prohibits courts from suspending driving privileges solely for failure to pay court fines and costs, effective July 1, 2019. Also beginning July 1, any Virginian whose driver’s license has been suspended for that single reason will have his or her driving privileges restored, and the associated reinstatement fee waived.

Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Virginia has secured over $15.8 billion of capital investment since he took office on January 13, 2018. Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Amazon, Inc. will invest approximately $2.5 billion to establish a major new headquarters in Virginia that will create more than 25,000 high-paying jobs over 12 years.
